Katie Taylor

Senior Occupational Therapist

Services: Functional capacity assessments, home and living assessments, home modification assessments, safety risk assessments, assistive technology assessments, sensory assessments, manual handling assessments, letters of recommendation and skill building and ongoing therapy

Qualifications: Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney

Registered member: AHPRA

Katie is a highly experienced and deeply passionate occupational therapist with over 20 years in the field, including the past 5 years dedicated to supporting participants through the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Sydney and has worked across major Sydney hospitals, community services, and home-based support settings.

Katie’s expertise shines in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Intellectual Disabilities (ID). She brings not only clinical knowledge but also a heart-driven approach to therapy, always seeking to understand her clients' unique passions, strengths, and sense of purpose.

But there's more to Katie than her professional superpowers. She’s a mum to four young and very energetic kids, which means her weekends are often spent sideline-cheering at sports events, ferrying little athletes to games, and probably hunting for missing soccer socks. Katie is known for her warm smile, great sense of humour, and ability to juggle a million things without breaking a sweat (well, maybe just a little!).

With a down-to-earth attitude and a big heart, Katie is all about empowering others to live life to the fullest—whatever that looks like for them.

Chloe Cross

Allied Health Assistant (AHA)

Services: Assistance with therapy goal implementation, structured play-based and skill-building sessions, fine motor development, emotional regulation support, routine development, family and educator collaboration, and progress reporting under OT supervision

Qualifications: Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) (Honours) – 2018

Supervised by: Registered Occupational Therapist at Cross Care Support

Chloe brings a wealth of experience and a strong educational foundation to her role as an Allied Health Assistant. Since graduating with a Bachelor of Teaching (Primary) (Honours) in 2018, she has spent over five years working as a classroom teacher—gaining invaluable insights into child development, learning styles, and individualised support strategies. These strengths now underpin her role as an AHA, where she delivers therapeutic support under the guidance of our occupational therapist.

In her role, Chloe attends the initial OT consultation alongside our therapist, helps with collaborative goal setting, and assists in developing session plans that align with each participant’s individual needs. Once a plan is in place, Chloe facilitates structured therapy sessions designed to be engaging, playful, and purpose-driven. She remains in regular contact with the supervising occupational therapist, who oversees the participant’s progress, provides resources, and ensures every session stays on track and goal-focused.

Chloe is passionate about creating safe, encouraging spaces for children to build confidence, develop independence, and grow real-world skills. Her natural ability to connect with young people, coupled with her understanding of the education system, makes her a valuable bridge between home, school, and therapy environments.

Outside of work, Chloe is kept on her toes by her fun-loving sidekick, Ernie—the world's friendliest (and possibly cheekiest) Doberman. Whether he's lounging around or stealing socks when no one's looking, Ernie always adds a touch of mischief and joy to Chloe's day.

Chloe’s calm, positive approach and deep care for the children and families she works with make her an incredibly warm and trusted presence within the Cross Care Support team.
